PLT-Scheme (DrScheme) 2.0.6p1    Download   

PLT Scheme (Dr.Scheme) is a free (LGPL) implementation of the Scheme language. The package supports syntax highlighting and comes with a GUI Framework and an interactive debugger. For the more advanced user, there are libraries for handling interprocess communication, multithreading and more.

For its ease of use, PLT Scheme is used in first year courses in computer science at the University of Fribourg, as well as in other universities.

To run nicely, about 40 MB of hard disk space as well as about 128 MB RAM are required. Versions for MacOS, Linux and some Unix flavours are available online.
