GNU Chess, es el programa de ajedrez GNU! Este programa de ajedrez es extremadamente poderoso, ya que obtuvo alrededor de 2000 puntos, acorde con la “US Chess Federation Standard” (para tener una idea de comparación: Gary Kasparov: 2849; Vladimir Kramnik: 2772).
La excelencia del GNU Chess ha sido ampliamente reconocida, y esta por defecto en el sistema operativo Mac OS X.
