winLAME è un encoder per la maggior parte dei formati audio incluso mp3 (MPEG Layer 3), Ogg Vorbis e molti altri. È dotato di una semplicissima interfaccia wizard.
winLAME riconosce molti formati audio in entrata, e utilizza la biblioteca LAME MP3 per codificare e la biblioteca MAD per decodificare.
