Freedoms

Legal Terms The "Freedom" of GNUWin software is not limited to being costless; it is also freedom to copy, share and distribute software, without restriction; freedom to obtain the source code to study it; and in most cases, freedom to modify the source code, and then distribute modified versions.

We insist on the fact that GNUWin software is not shareware or freeware, but free software.


GNUWin in itself, including the HTML interface, the additional texts and the work of collecting and testing the programs, are covered by the GNU GPL license. Source of the construction interface can be found here.

Disclaimer of Warranties

As all the licenses of the software are given for no cost, there is no warranty on the software; in particular, we do not guarantee that the programs will always work as expected, and any damages, loss of money or loss of data that might be a consequence of the use of GNUWin software can in no way lead to claims of any sort against GNU Generation or its members.
GNU Generation does however guarantee that

  1. all software included in GNUWin has been tested and was reported to work normally during the tests.
  2. the CD-ROM has been scanned for viruses with a reputable anti-virus software, up-to-date on September 7th, 2002, and the program did not find any viruses.
