One of the most frequently asked questions when discovering GNUWin II is "Now, what should I install?". The answer to this question
is, of course, "Install what you need!".
Here are a few suggestions as to which programs to install, depending on how you plan to use your computer. Of course, these programs are only proposals and
you are encouraged to explore the full content of the CD-ROM and choose the programs that suit you the best.
These are the proposed profiles:
- Quick start:
programs that you ought to have. They will be useful to any kind of
users, from the university student to the secretary or the engineer.
- General purpose:
Collections of programs for a standard and general use of your
computer.
- Engineer and scientist:
Allow to write papers, execute complex mathematic calculations,
draw graphics, protect your data, ...

- Kids:
There is also free software for kids!
